Does the silly looking crank come off so that it will at least look like a real SG?

Yes if you wanted to shoot it with the spades the wheel can come off and you would be able to use the spades then.

But doesn't it still require the box there to house the AR15 hammer and semi-auto parts? Thats the trick about SG-43 semis, theres almost no room whatsoever in the receiver for the necessary parts. IIRC Wiselite did theirs by extending the receiver rearward two inches.
Thats why my Gory semi reweld is not yet functional. Still trying to figure out how to fit a striker in there that has enough spring pressure but is still able to compress fully. I was lucky to get one of the Apex kits complete with the intact barrel, carriage, shield, and PP2 NVD. I'll have to get pics of it sometime, looks damn near museum grade so I'd hate to alter the receiver externally.

Digital is correct your fire control group is in the black box. The wheel or crank can be removed and then you could shoot it with the spades. As of now there's only 3 designs for semi SG I know of, Greg Clarks Crank Box like this, Wild Horses box that is also a AR hammer fired box and the stretched receiver from Wiselite.
I have not seen any semi SGs that do not have a box or a super long receiver. |
