I think this rifle has some proprietary on-the-receiver scope ring slots. I think I came across a rail for it which mates with the receiver, but even with that I suspect it would only take a conventionally located scope.
found the rail again https://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail...05891&CAT=3654 ![]() -T ![]() |

Air gun rated scopes have parallax adjustments that adjust down to feet. Might look there.
Other than that, there is a class of scopes made for Hunter Bench Rest (HBR) competition. These are typically 6X fixed power and have target turrets and adjustable objective down to 40-50 yds. Burris used to make one and Leupold still does.

under 100yds, I'd get a fixed parallax 1-4,5, or 6. IMO, a fixed magnification scope blows for small game hunting that's bound to have close shots.

You guys are awesome. I did not know so may scopes could focus down this close.
I found one I liked: Falcon 4-18x44, focuses down to 10 yards, meaning I could use it at the indoor 50-foot pistol range. They seem to be out of stock from any domestic suppliers. I will look over the other suggestions in this thread. HBR competition scope. Learned something new today ![]() -T |

Before you buy that Falcon, check out the Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8x32mm. Side adjustable parallax down to 20 yards.
I got mine on super-duper sale for $175. It is fantastic on my .22 bolt gun.

Well I just got my membership revoked at the 50 foot indoor range for shooting my m11 with 50 round drum there against their rules.
![]() I knew I was going to get caught eventually and was looking forward to it for other reasons, amused that it took them over a decade to figure it out... ![]() Limitation of scope choice to near field focus is now gone. I will re-evaluate the vortex line of scopes again. I have another 22 that needs a scope too. Anyone else ordered a Novem rifle? I'd love to see pics if you have it in hand! -T |

Was it because it was a 50 round drum, or were you doing full auto bursts?
Either way, screw 'em.

Been away from the site for a while but time for an update.
Have completed several Novem's with more on order. Certainly is nice to work with new actions. About to do one with every conceivable option including custom iron sights and scout rail! Don' want to do a lot of them with so much detail since hand-work slows me down but I will post a pic of this one once it's complete. FYI, looks like the Tech-SITES #TSM120A is easily adapted for an adjustable rear peep. About $50.00 and nicely made. Still have to work out a front sight. |

Can you post a pic of the iron sights on the novem?
I'd pondered something like that but did not know it was an option. -T |

Got the big CNC move done, much nicer premises.
Now to catch up on orders. Iron sighted custom to be done soon. Got this one done today, I think this will be the default stock for integral suppressed. ![]() |

That is pretty nice looking. If mine looks like that I may forgo making my own stock, unless the cheek weld is poor for a scope.

The new rear peep sight fits great once the top of the action is flattened above the dovetail.
I'm waiting for a Marlin front sight to arrive to complete the setup. This Novem will have about every possible option, with peep sights and a cup barrel. Armscor/Rock Island do not offer a ten round mag from the factory, which I see as a mistake. I keep hearing rumors that there are ten round mags that fit, anyone know which those might be? |

STI makes 10rd 2011 mags. I'd imagine they would work with a little fiddling. I'm not sure what it takes to make a normal 2011 mag fit the Rock Island type wide body. problem is they are still standard length mags.

5 and 17 round.
I need 10 rd. for several markets. Seems odd that Armscor/Rock island do not have them from the factory. I'm looking for sample EAA and Para-Ord 9mm to try. |
